The Super Bowl

nope… nothing to do with American football guys!

but it does have to do a lot with fitness and well being!

The super bowl – or smoothie bowl to be exact is my latest frenzy. a wholesome breakfast bowl with all the goodness in the world blended into a smooth perfection

Super easy to make and beautiful to look at, this little work of art looks like it will become my new weekend favourite.

Ingredients:
1 frozen banana
3 pitted dates – Full of fibre and natural sugars, both bananas and dates can provide a great little “pick me up” when you’re in need of energy!
¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
2 tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice
1 tbsp natural peanut butter – Full of protein, which can help keep you feeling full and full of energy!
2 tbsp raw cacao powder – Contains a number of essential minerals, such as magnesium, which can help your body produce energy.

Method:
1.Blend the banana, dates, almond milk,, orange juice and peanut butter until the mixture becomes creamy like a soft-serve ice cream.
2. Add the cacao powder and blend until well combined.
3. Transfer into a bowl and add your toppings!

Toppings:
1 tbsp organic muesli or granola
1 tbsp chia seeds
½  mango or fruit of choice, diced

I like to boost it with my hippophaes food supplement (According to historical sources, Hippophae was part of Alexander the Great soldiers’ diet) and a green tea tablet …
